As vegetation was mostly dormant,perennials were difficult to identify. <br /> Photo 6: Overview ofparcelAB09. <br /> Next, a block of parcels in the former F Pit <br /> were surveyed. Parcels FA 10, FA 11 and <br /> FAB09 comprising approximately 93 acres. <br /> These parcels were seeded in 2009, 2010 <br /> and 2011 with the rangeland A/AB seed <br /> mix. Vegetation was dominated by <br /> desirable species included in the prescribed <br /> seed mixes. Shrubs were well represented <br /> and included Artemisia alnifolia(silver <br /> sage), Atriplex canescens (four winged salt <br /> brush),perennial grasses comprised <br /> Agropyron s. (wheat grasses) and Elymus s. <br /> (wild rye); forage plants such as Astragalus <br /> cicer(Cicer milkvetch), and Medicago sativa <br /> (alfalfa),were also present. <br /> Parcel FA 11 was ringed by a stand of <br /> Artemisia alnifolia.
