25 August 2021 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> The I pit road has been completed. The higwall miner has been rescheduled for deployment in early <br /> winter. A small amount of water was present along the west edge of the I Pit at the time of inspection. <br /> The steep side slopes have been chained to dislodge any loose rocks. A pumping mechanism is set up if <br /> needed. I Pit expansion to highway and through West Buzzard Draw is anticipated for the future. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)14.03.2(3);Drainage 4.03.1(4)14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br /> and(6)14.03.2(5)and(6);Reclamation 4.03.1(7)14.03.2(7) <br /> o Main haul roads were in good repair and well maintained at the time of inspection. <br /> o Access roads were accessible throughout the site. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> o Dozer basins and check dams were in the process of being built on the north side of the new <br /> section of Haul Road. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o The Ash Pit exhibited a firm surface throughout with no depressions or standing water. A number <br /> of benches are being utilized. <br /> o No issues were observed requiring attention at the time of inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br /> 4.05.10;Diversions 4.05.4;Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid <br /> and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. The following <br /> pond systems were visited: <br /> a) East Middle Flume 91 holding water and not discharging. <br /> b) East Flume dry at the time of inspection. <br /> c) Middle flume #1 holding a small amount of water. <br /> d) Middle flume #3 holding water and not discharging. <br /> e) East Pyeatt Ponds#1 and 92 have been dewatered to East Pyeatt 39 in preparation for <br /> dredging <br /> f) East Pyeatt 3#is holding water. <br /> g) The diversion ditch to dry out pond sediment has been built and is shunting water to <br /> Pyeatt 93. <br /> h) No Name#2 was holding water the time of inspection. <br /> i) Coyote,the large MSHA pond held minimal water. Aug <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> o No instability or Tilling were noted on the observed topsoil piles. Piles appeared to be marked <br /> appropriately and adequately vegetated. <br /> o The topsoil at the edge of the Horse Gulch Fill has been transported to a nearby topsoil pile, <br /> removing the "structure"from the Horse Gulch Fill area of interest. This leaves the option of <br /> reducing or removing inspection frequency of the fill. <br /> o Topsoil stripping was taking place on the steep northeast facing slopes at the west edge of L Pit. <br /> This is expected to be completed in the near future. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />
