Stormwater Management Plan <br /> • Rock Dams. <br /> MONITORING <br /> • ECMs will be inspected once a month and after significant precipitation for the period between <br /> June and September(see Inspection and Maintenance section for more details). <br /> • Road water control maintenance will be routinely conducted. <br /> Stormwater Management Controls <br /> 1. Storm Water Management Plan(SWMP)Administration <br /> a. Vehicle tracking water control measures <br /> Truck tracking controls will be maintained at the mine entrance. <br /> b. Management of contaminated soils <br /> If chemical or petroleum spills occur„the contaminated material will be removed, drum <br /> or bagged and remove. Acid or toxic producing materials or spills will be made within 24 <br /> hours of occurrence and arrangements to dispose the materials in an approved facility <br /> within 30 days of the occurrence will be arranged. <br /> c. Loading and unloading operations <br /> Loading and unloading of liquids and solids during site operation will be conducted <br /> under the supervision of PENN MINE's manager or designated personnel. <br /> d. Equipment maintenance and fueling <br /> Fuels and lubricants will be appropriately stored in secondary containments structures <br /> when the volume exceeds 55 gallons. <br /> e. Workingareas <br /> Control measures including emergency response and spill containment kits will be made <br /> available in convenient locations to control spills. <br /> f. Maintenance <br /> Activities involving fertilizers, pesticides, detergents, fuels, solvents, oils, etc.will be <br /> employed. <br /> Use of chemicals will be conducted in accordance with manufactures recommendations <br /> and the approval of DRMS,and in accordance with County regulations. Most of the <br /> maintenance activities will be related to fueling equipment and the application of <br /> herbicides/pesticides. The use of herbicides/pesticides will be conducted in accordance <br /> with the Weed Control Management Plan. <br /> g. On-site waste management practices <br /> Generated solid waste will be hauled off site and disposed in a licensed sanitary landfill. <br /> Hazardous substances including used oil,tires, solvents,paints etc. will be hauled offsite <br /> and disposed in accordance with State and County waste management criteria. <br /> h. Concrete truck/equipment washing including the concrete truck chute <br /> and associated fixtures and equipment. <br /> Concrete trucks operators(if used on site)will not be permitted to wash their equipment <br /> on site. <br /> i.
