CJK will work with the County to control dust. CJK will control dust by use of water and 34%CaC12 solution. • CR1 (part 2): West 0.4 miles. This portion is paved. • Hazel St: South 0.5 miles. • S.Toledo St: Southwest 0.25 miles. • Monroe St: West 0.22 miles. • US Highway 24: West 2.6 miles to Leadville Mill entrance. On-Site Haul Roads: The project will use existing roads on-site. No new roads will be constructed. However,the existing mine roads will be graded to 14ft wide, plus allowance for a safety berm to accommodate truck traffic and excavating equipment, and thus are included in the disturbance area calculation. A 30-in safety berm commensurate to the largest equipment used on site will be constructed on both sides of flat-surface roads, and on the downhill side of all roads cut into the hillside. 30 inches slightly exceeds the axle-height of the tandem haul trucks. A 30-inch high safety berm, assuming a compacted 60 angle of repose will require a 3-foot base. Therefore, flat- and slope-surface roads will be graded to an overall width of 20ft and 17ft., respectively. (See sketch). Initial Application l March 2021 4-5
