OJVOC proposes that monthly averages be
tracked aril utilized to determine replacement water delivery rates aryl
that replacement water delivery rates be recalculated on an annual
basis. Initially, CL'fVOC prapoe~es the following replacement water
delivery rates used upon data collection efforts to date:
Month Replacement Volume (cr[an)
Jan 2
Feb 2
Mar 7
Apr 11
May 7
Jun 5
Jul 5
Aug 4
Sep 3
Oct 3
Nw 2
Dec 2
•
~VCC will only honor a call far replacement water if an anomalous or
sudden diminution or disruption of flow occ~u-s which can be reasonably
linked to mine activities. To the extent possible, other similar
resources or features in the area will be monitored concurrently with
Spring 31 and used for ~arative purposes. A water meter
installation will be established downstream on the pipeline at a point
below the Lower Cabin Spring. OOVCC will also monitor this point on
a monthly basis to record ir-stantanears and average flow rates. Zhe
Division will have final authority as to whether trucked water
deliveries arri further water replacement plan provisions should be
initiated.
Phase 3:) In the unlikely event that flan from the Upper Cabin Spring
is cctt~letely and suddenly disrupted or noticeably diminished as a
result of mining, or if water quality is adversely impacted, repair
procechrres as detailed in Volume 3, Sutsidence Repair Handbook, will
be implemented.
Phase 4:) In the event repair efforts are unsu~sful, steps will be
taken to extern the pipeline now serving the Orchard Valley West Mine
south to a point at which water from the Steven's c~ilch water well
known as Orchard Valley Well No. 3 can be introduced into the Stucker
Mesa Domestic Water Company's pipeline as a permanent replacement
sur~lv._ 'Eae orr-t,a.-rt_ VaLlav, Well No. 3 can provide water o£ r ~ hlP
• quality and senior priority to the Stucker Mesa system.
