PHASE I
No. 5 Portal Area (Parcel 32), backfilling and
grading was accomplished as per the permit
document. The slope is stable, blending into
the surrounding undisturbed area. The face up
is adequately backfilled, graded and sloped as
per the permit. Structures originally
associated with the No. 5 portal area have
been demolished, all coal and refuse removed.
The area has been subdivided into specific
parcels for phased tracking of reclamation
activities and comprises the bottom lands
along the west bank of the Williams Fork
River as per the SL5 Phase I Bond Release
Map submitted with the application.
Looking north, the cropland west of the
Williams Fork River, comprising
numerous parcels primarily 11, 12 13
49and 51. Seeding took place in 2019 and
reseeding in 2020 after backfilling and
finish grading. All Structures have been
removed, a road and turn around has been
retained for future access for cropping,
parcel 51. No evidence of standing water
or large depressions were noted at the time
of inspection.
The three pond cells of the Wastewater
Treatment Facility in parcel 15 were
located in this area and have been seeded,
backlilled and graded as per the
reclamation plan and blend in to the
adjacent bottomlands of the Williams Fork
River for utilization as cropland (no photo).
Parcel 25, a drainage, reclaimed in 1989
possesses and slope and aspect consistent
with the permit. No hydrologic issues, rills
or other erosional features were evident
during the inspection.
Permit Number. C1981044 Page 8 of 14
