ERC West Farm Pit Expansion Project Site
Aquatic Resource Delineation Report
Soils within Aquatic Resource D are generally loam in texture, meeting criteria for hydric soil indicators F3
(Depleted Matrix), and F2 (Loamy gleyed matrix). At the time of the delineation, primary wetland hydrology
indicator B7 (Inundation Visible on Aerial Imagery), and B13 (Aquatic Invertebrates) was observed within Aquatic
Resource D.Additionally, secondary hydrology indicators included: B6(Surface Soil Cracks), B8(Sparsely Vegetated
Concave Surface)and D2 (Geomorphic Position).Aquatic Resource D meets the criteria for a wetland based on the
presence of hydric soils, and wetland hydrology. Aquatic resource D is also defined by an OHWM.
Aquatic Resource D comprises a total of 5.31 acres within the survey area (Appendix A). Refer to Photos 13-15
below for characteristics within Aquatic Resource D.
Photo 13. Overview facing west on the south bank associated Photo 14. The topographic drainage generally flows to the east until the aquatic resource leaves the survey area and
joins the Arkansas River approximately 4,141 feet to the northwest (Figure 3). Aquatic Resource E appears to lack
a surface water connection to the other listed Aquatic Resources within the survey area. Aquatic Resource E was
observed as having flowing water at the time of the site visit.
Overall, the vegetation community within Aquatic Resource E is dominated by weedy species such as Russian
thistle, prickly lettuce, Missouri goldenrod (Solidago missouriensis), and reed canary grass(Phaloris arundinacea).
This area contains a temporarily flooded water regime.
Soils within Aquatic Resource E are generally clay loam textured meeting criteria for hydric soil indicator F3
(Depleted Matrix). At the time of the delineation, primary wetland hydrology indicators Al (Surface Water), A3
(Saturation), and B7 (Inundation Visible on Aerial Imagery) were observed within Aquatic Resource E.
