(boundary depicted by blue line).
AQUATIC RESOURCE D(5.31 ACRES)
Aquatic Resource D, an irrigation retention pond, comprises PEM2C wetland habitat. This Aquatic Resource is
located in the central portion of the survey area next to an alfalfa field.Aquatic Resource D consists of a vegetated
depression exhibiting indicators of an OHWM. The topographic depression is filled with water from a pumping
station that pulls water from Aquatic Resource C. It is an isolated wetland surround entirely by uplands and man-
made berms. Surface water was not observed in Aquatic Resource D at the time of the delineation (See Figure 3).
Aquatic Resource D was vegetated around the banks and exhibited OHWM indicators including a break in the
slope. The wetland vegetated banks within Aquatic Resource C were dominated by species such as Russian thistle,
prickly lettuce, western wheatgrass and slender wheatgrass. Vegetation within the depression was mostly bare,
however, did contain fringes of prairie cordgrass(Spartina pectinata). This area contains a temporary flooded water
regime during the growing season. The dominant species within the wetland area consists of hydrophytic species
(FACW-OBL).
9
