13 October 2020 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR
INSPECTION Phase I.
Phase I Parcels
FB19 LAB18 LAB19 ZA17
The coordinates of a baseline elevation data point, an established survey point maintained and known by
TMI to be 7069.89 feet above sea level near the storage tanks was measured by DRMS. The difference
between the measurements will be calculated and compared with Trappers approximate original contour
maps. Approximate grade and slope of the reclaimed parcels will be calculated from the field data
collected and compared with Trappers submitted maps, facilitating the determination that approved post
mining topo has been constructed.
ROADS — Rule 4.03
Construction 4.03.1(3) 14.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) 14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5)
and (6) 14.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) 14.03.2(7)
o Main haul roads dry and smooth. The Haul Road was in good repair and well maintained at the
time of inspection.
o Roads were being watered throughout the day.
o Access roads were accessible throughout the site.
o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately.
HYDROLOGIC BALANCE — Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7,
4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage- Acid
and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18
Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection.
a) Impoundment H was holding water
b) Observed stock ponds were dry at the time of inspection.
c) Ponds in the active mining area were holding water at the time of inspection.
d) Rills noted during previous inspection in 2019 are healing as more vegetation becomes
established. Some downcutting or sidecutting was evident in. Trapper mine will
continue to monitor rilling and any sediment transport in constructed drainages.
Generally Trapper undertakes any necessary repairs during their annual spring
maitenance regime.
Reconstructed drainages comprised FA16 (phase I) and AB16 (phase II). Channels appeared to have an
appropriate gradient. General observations were made, and it appeared that drainages meet the
specifications in Trappers permit with respect to depth and side slopes. Vegetation appeared sparse in
some portions of the drainage at the time of inspection, some soil movement is expected and was noted in
constructed channel FA16. Erosion control structures were noted in all channels, erosional features were
observed and structures appeared to function adequately with the exception of the following:
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 3
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 1
