17. Provide a short summary of the reclamation measures to take place at each project area given that
mining methodologies vary based on project area.
This has been addressed in Exhibit D—Question 11
18. Question 3-Per Rule 6.3.4(1)(b)-Provide a justification to support slopes steeper than a 3H:1V.
The only location that may exceed this spec is the Connector Project Area, due to the natural
slope of that section. We will mitigate the section the best we can. BLM has talked of putting a
"half pipe"over the Midway portal to prevent future erosion from causing issues. Miners Mall is
willing to work with the BLM on this issue, as well as the DRMS on resolving a permanent
solution to this area.
19. Question 4-Per Rule 6.3.4(1)(c)(i)-Give the anticipated range of topsoil application to be reapplied
during reclamation. Material type is noted as rock/soil mixture.Alternatively provide the estimate
number of cubic yards to be handled at each project area.
Project Area Ridgetop Siberia Midway Connector Purple Pipe Unnamed
anticipated This project 1-2 inches None None
topsoil to be 3-5 inches None hopes to if needed
reapplied create
enriched soil
estimated Waste Rock= None 750 cubic Waste Waste Unknown
cubic yards 225 cubic yards of soil Rock= 125 Rock= 125
to be yards to be cubic yards cubic yards
handled Soil Storage= enriched Soil Soil
275 cubic with organic Storage= Storage=
yards material 75 cubic 50 cubic
125 cubic yards* yards
yards of rock
—to be used
to provide
underlying
terrace
foundation*
*Note that this material
handling IS a reclamation
project!
20. Question 6-Per Rule 6.3.4(1)(c)(iv)-Once see is hand applied will it be raked into the soil.
The ground will be hand-ripped, mulch and seed applied then hand ripped again to half the
depth of the previous ripping to allow mixing of the soil, mulch, and seed.
21. Question 9-Per Rule 6.3.4(1)(c)(v)-State the application method used for spreading straw mulch
and clarify if it will be crimped/tacked down in any way.
The ground will be hand-ripped, mulch and seed applied then hand ripped again to half the
depth of the previous ripping to allow mixing of the soil, mulch, and seed.
