Page 8 <br /> 4 Operatina Plans <br /> 4.1 Water Management Plan <br /> There is no active surface water—streams, ponds,or springs-within the Project Area. No water will <br /> be used in the mining process.Any water brought to the site will be used for dust control, drinking, <br /> or first aid where necessary.The storm water plan will be utilized to minimize erosion and prevent <br /> soil loss. Certified weed-free straw bales and plastic/vinyl tarps are the primary tools to execute the <br /> storm water plan. <br /> 4.2 Spill Contingency Plan <br /> Not applicable,there will be no fuels or chemicals used within the Project Area. <br /> 4.3 Access Route Maintenance Plan <br /> No new roads or trails will be constructed. Access will use pre-existing single-track trail that leads <br /> from the BLM parking area. Utilizing this 0.014 acre area measures 300 feet in length by two feet in <br /> width, avoids biologically(cryptobiotic soil)and known cultural sites in the area. It will be <br /> maintained for above listed use and reclaimed/reseeded upon completion of mining. <br /> 4.4 Fire Management Plan <br /> Fire prevention will be ensured by keeping appropriate hand tools and a backcountry wildlands <br /> backpack fire extinguisher on-site and accessible by Mine personnel. During extended periods of <br /> non-operation or seasonal closure,all equipment,tools, and supplies will be removed from the <br /> Project Area. All applicable regional,state,and federal fire laws and regulations will be complied <br /> with and all reasonable measures will be taken to prevent and suppress fires in the Project Area. <br /> 4.5 Solid and Hazardous Waste Plan <br /> All refuse generated by Project activities(and other hikers in the area)will be disposed of at an <br /> authorized off-site landfill facility,consistent with applicable regulations. No refuse will be disposed <br /> of on-site. All human waste will be"packed out". Worksite refuse will be disposed of daily and <br /> parking lot utilized by Miners Mall and the public will be cleaned weekly. <br /> 4.6 Rock Characterization and Handling Plan <br /> Miners Mall will be examining all material removed. Any copper sulfides,carbonates,or oxides will <br /> be removed as mineral specimens. <br /> 4.7 Quality Assurance Plan <br /> Not applicable <br />
