MINING PLAN EXHIBIT C
6 .3 .3 - This is not a mine but rather a short term lot
grading project that will remove in excess of 200, 000 tons of
material to level the permit area to create a building envelope
where a house, barns, and riding facility can be built on the
property.
Initial plans were to backfill a portion of the northern end
of the lot to create the level pad needed to complete the devel-
opment and approximately 16, 000 tons of material was hauled to
the site for that purpose . It was stockpiled on the south end of
the lot, but it was realized that this was not practical due to
the amount of material needed to level approximately 500 of the
lot and the potential stability problems associated with the
fill . The material is a combination of dirty sand and dirt
obtained from outside sources over the last 2 years . Facility
construction may take place prior to bond release, but at this
time the exact location of the structures that will be in placed
when reclamation is complete are unknown. As part of this permit
a copy of the Preliminary Site Plan for the building envelope is
included and a letter from Grand County Planning showing no local
government permit is needed to do this lot grading project .
This project area is located immediately adjacent to the
Thompson Resource gravel mine that is within the Town Limits of
Granby, Colorado on a private road. A contractor has been
retained to remove the material and complete the final grading
and resoiling is the shortest time possible. In addition, an
agreement has been made with Reclamation Ridge, the operators of
the adjoining mine (Thompson Resource) to allow for storage and
disposal of the material removed to their mine and to use the
mine floor to access this site. So access will be thru their
mine entrance to a point on the west line of this permit area.
The property access out on GCR 613 will be used if needed.
From the Town center on HYW 40 go west to Highway 34 , turn
right on to 34 (north) go north --1/ mile to West Meadow Road, then
right 900 feet a private road leading to the floor of the Thomp-
son Resources mining area. Cross the floor approximately 1/ mile
to the access point (40005152 . 88"N, 1050S6 ' 52 . 85"W) .
The purpose of this permit is to complete leveling the 5 . 88
acres, shown as Building Envelope on the Reclamation Map, of the
9 . 99 acre permit area to allow for construction of a single
family house, barns and riding facilities as shown on the Exhibit
E-2 - Preliminary Development Plans enclosed. The material
excavated to create the level area will be disposed of at the
Thompson Resource mine adjacent to the site or removed from the
Track 4 Grading Project July 22, 2020
C-1
