Principal construction within the slide area was completed in May 2020.
This as-built report demonstrates that construction was conducted to the approved specifications,
or where field-fit changes were made, that the final installation satisfies all necessary
requirements for slope stability and surface water hydrology protection.
1. General Construction
Construction of the various regraded slope areas along the west side of the Ralston Quarry began
the week of February P. The presence of snow and cold weather limited the construction
operations. As can be seen in the weekly reports sent to the Division, the February and March
snowfall and low temperatures kept construction progress slow. March saw the arrival of the
COVID-19 virus, necessitating implementation of additional safety measures by both APC and
their construction contractor. Once these additional measures were in place, construction work
continued. The bulk of construction was completed in late April, with final grading and surface
water control structure installation taking place in early May. All grading work onsite has taken
place with the goal of having revegetation seeding in place before high temperatures are the
norm for the summer. Seeding was completed at the end of May 2020.
The earthwork conducted covered four zones identified in previous submittals to the Division.
These zones are shown on Figure 1 and described in Table 1.
Ralston TR 03 1 Graff I.rwicki and Aswiatm,PIRA'
