3 June 2020 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br />o Signage and boundary markers were adequately spaced and easily visible along the West end of <br />mine roads 1075 and highway 13 and along the southern permit boundary. <br />o The mine site identification signs observed at the mine access points, (entrance and old highway <br />13), were intact, displaying all required information: mine name, operator name, address, phone <br />number, DRMS permit number and contact information. <br />o Blasting notification signs were placed at the entrances and appropriate locations throughout the <br />mine. <br />o Pond identification signs were prominently displayed in the vicinity of the ponds visited and were <br />in adequate repair at the time of inspection. <br />ROADS— Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) 14.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) 14.03.2(4); Surfacing and Maintenance 4.03.1(5) <br />and (6)14.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) 14.03.2(7) <br />o Main haul roads dry and smooth. The Haul Road was in good repair and well maintained at the <br />time of inspection. <br />o Roads were being watered throughout the day. <br />o Access roads were passable over most of the site. <br />o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES — Rule 4.04 <br />o The Ready Line appeared orderly at the time of inspection. <br />o The three diesel tanks at the Ready Line were well contained with 3-4 foot berms that are covered <br />with a rubberized fabric. <br />o The surface of the Ready Line was free of ruts and standing water at the time of inspection. <br />o The Ash Pit exhibited a soft surface in places with some rutting. A number of benches are being <br />utilized. No issues were observed requiring attention at the time of inspection. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE —Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, <br />4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage- Acid <br />and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br />Unless otherwise noted, pond banks and dams appeared stable at the time of inspection. Spillways and <br />flumes for the most part were inaccessible at the time of inspection. The following pond systems were <br />visited or observed from the nearest accessible road: <br />a) Impoundment H was holding water. <br />b) Johnson I OR appeared full and was discharging at the time of inspection. <br />c) West Pyeatt was dry at the time of inspection. <br />d) East Pyeatt #1 was discharging at the time of inspection. The spillway appeared clear. <br />The other East Pyeatt Ponds were also discharging clear water at the time of inspection. <br />e) Middle Pyeatt held a small amount water and was not discharging at the time of <br />inspection. <br />f) The Oak system was holding water at the time of inspection. <br />g) Coyote, the large MSHA pond was holding water. <br />h) Middle Flume was full and discharging at the time of inspection. <br />i) East Flume Pond held a small amount of water. <br />j) East Middle Flume #1 Pond was full and discharging. <br />k) No Name # 4 and #5 were discharging clear water at the time of inspection. <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 8 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br />
