The plant community is 75 percent grasses and 25
percent brush and trees . The species of vegetation found on the
mine site are Western wheatgrass, Blue grama, Griffith wheatgrass
and Green needlegrass . Woody vegetation found on the site con-
sists of Mountain mahogany, One-seed juniper, Mountain muhly,
Pinyon pine and Gambel oak and are confined to the slopes along
the east edge or canyon heads that border the mesa . This area has
a good grass cover because the site is well managed and not over
grazed.
AUSTIN& BETSY CLENNIN - BECKER PIT May 7, 2020
18
