Table D-1: Volume Calculations
The material volumes described in Table D-1 are based on exploration on the site over several
years. As mining progresses through the site, each pit will be mined out behind its berm first.
Reclamation will occur concurrently with mining across the site. At no point will all of the pits be
actively mining.
The anticipated total disturbed area for the mining area portion of the operation consists of 69.5
acres, which includes the sediment ponds. Table D-2 shows a breakdown of the mining areas. The
additional disturbance comes from the access road, gravel stockpiles, and the office/shop area. This
is approximately 2.0 acres for the access road and 8.9 acres for the office, shop, and
processing/facilities area. Therefore, the total disturbed area is 69.5 acres over the life of the mine.
The disturbance at any one time is much smaller since there will be contemporaneous reclamation
as the pit advances.
Table D-2: Mine Acreages
cut
Swelled
Cubic Yards
Tons
Cubic Yards
Pit 1
Pit 2
788,443
626,484
851,519
i 676,603
757,811
396,866
1,136,705
595,293
1,546,254
1,023,350
Pit 3
Total
56,507
1,471,435
61,028
1,589,150
305,494
458,236
2,190,234
362,001
2,931,606
11,460,171
The material volumes described in Table D-1 are based on exploration on the site over several
years.
