CCV Emergency Response Plan <br /> (b) Secure the scene to keep all people out of the area at minimum distance of 1/2 mile in all <br /> directions. <br /> Do not under any circumstances fight an explosives fire; allow it to burn out. <br /> "Note: If a vehicle or structure containing explosives catches on fire, i.e. engine compartment, attempt to <br /> extinguish the fire before it becomes a risk to the explosives. <br /> 5.13.12 Fire Reporting Requirements: <br /> (a) All fires must be reported to the HSLP Manager. <br /> (b) The HSLP Manager will report to the USFS and MSHA as appropriate. <br /> (c) The insurance company will also be notified. <br /> (d) Proper documentation must be kept(i.e., pictures, date, time, circumstances, etc.). <br /> Documentation is the responsibility of the area Supervisor and HSLP. <br /> Phone Contacts <br /> HSLP Manager Radio S-1 Office 719-689-4036, Cell (775) 385-7334 <br /> HSLP On Call Contact Ironclad or Carlton Security <br /> Emergency Response Coordinator Channel S-3 Call 719-689-4168 Cell 719-466-7513 <br /> 5.14 Emergency Response Procedures, Leaks, Spills, or Releases: <br /> 5.14.1 Any leak, or release outside containment areas and any unplanned spill into containment. <br /> (a) Must be reported to the Sustainability & External Relations (S&ER) Department immediately. <br /> (b) All external notification and reporting shall be conducted by the S&ER Department. <br /> (c) An event report must be completed in Cintellate for every spill and release. To designate the <br /> difference between a spill and a release, a spill must be documented as a "Near-Miss" event. <br /> 5.14.2 Uncontrollable spills or releases must be reported to S&ER and HSLP: <br /> (a) Containment and cleanup activities shall only be performed as described in the Spill <br /> Prevention, Control and Countermeasures Plan (SPCC) or as directed by HSLP and/or <br /> S&ER personnel. <br /> (b) When handling chemicals, refer to the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for handling and disposing <br /> of that particular material. Coordinate with S&ER to ensure proper disposal methods. <br /> 5.14.3 Any injuries requiring medical attention refer to the medical emergencies section. In all cases, the <br /> general response procedure shall follow: <br /> 1. SAFETY AND ➢ Assess safety situation to yourself and others. <br /> DETECTION - If you cannot identify the substance, evacuate immediately and <br /> follow step 11. <br /> ➢ If there is a risk or fire or explosion, evacuate immediately and <br /> follow step 11. <br /> ➢ Shut off ignition sources if safe to do so. <br /> 2.
