Standard Operating Procedure <br /> NEWMONT. Heavy Equipment fueling <br /> CC&V Mine Operations <br /> 5.2 Fuel Technicians will <br /> 5.2.1 Communicate with the dispatcher at the beginning of shift for the fueling <br /> schedule for shovels and non-mobile equipment. <br /> 5.2.2 Never allow mobile mining equipment on the fuel island pad without <br /> positive communication and the fuel technician directing traffic with traffic <br /> signal lights. <br /> 5.2.3 All heavy mobile equipment requiring low volume fuel will be fueled from <br /> the lube truck. <br /> 5.2.3.1 Fuel technician will not send mobile mining equipment to the <br /> low volume fuel pump behind fuel island. <br /> 5.2.4 Enter and exit the fuel island safely at all times <br /> 5.2.5 When at Fuel Island use the first fuel bay you come to. <br /> 5.2.6 Turn off signal lights when leaving Fuel Island. <br /> 5.2.7 Communicate with dispatch when fuel truck needs refueled. <br /> 5.2.8 Report and clean any fuel or oil spills immediately. <br /> 5.3 Haul Truck Operators will <br /> 5.3.1 Be trained, follow all guidelines, and have all proper paperwork. <br /> 5.3.2 Never get fuel while loaded at the fuel island. <br /> 5.3.3 Fuel at Fuel Island whenever possible and directed by dispatch to do so. <br /> 5.3.4 Never let the truck get below 30% fuel to preserve the integrity of the <br /> fuel system. Dispatch will start sending trucks at 35%. <br /> 5.3.5 If a lube truck is present, before entering the fuel island make radio <br /> contact with J3. <br /> 5.3.5.1 Enter only with positive 3 way communication with the lube <br /> tech. <br /> 5.3.5.2 Lube Tech will direct advancement to fueling location with <br /> signal lights. <br /> 5.3.6 If no Fuel technician is present proceed to the second fuel bay. <br /> 5.3.7 Enter and exit the fuel island safely at all times. <br /> 5.3.8 Properly chock equipment and lock out the transmission. <br /> 5.3.9 Stand next to the pump shut off during the fueling process. <br /> 5.3.10 Report and clean any fuel or oil spills immediately. <br /> 5.4 Support and Loaders will <br /> 5.4.1 Be trained, follow all guidelines, and have all proper paperwork. <br /> 5.4.2 Communicate with dispatch before fueling at the fuel island. <br /> 5.4.3 Fuel at Fuel Island whenever possible and directed by dispatch to do so. <br /> 5.4.4 Never let the equipment get below 30% fuel to preserve the integrity <br /> of the fuel system. <br /> --------------------------------------------- .-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> Department THIS DOCUMENT IS UNCONTROLLED IN HARD COPY FORMAT Doc Id:NA-CCV-SURF-SOP-2421 <br /> Surface Mining Date of This Issue:March 27,201 S Date of Next Review:27 March 2021 Page 2 of 9 <br />
