C. Project Description. Describe all aspects of the operation including mining, milling, and exploration methods, materials,
equipment, workforce, construction and operation schedule, power requirements, how clearing will be accomplished, topsoil
stockpile, waste rock placement, tailings disposal, proposed number of drillholes and depth, depth of proposed suction dredging,
and how gravels will be replaced, etc. Calculate production rates of ore. Include justification and calculations for settling pond
capacities, and the size of runoff diversion channels.
Operations-Phase 1 includes digging test holes and prospect pits with hand tools,to collect mineral specimens and to determine the
viability of future mining operations. This MPO is being submitted for the purpose of gaining permission to use two non-system roads
to access our mining claims during"phase 1 activities".The non-system roads have approximate dimensions of 1489 feet x 7 feet
(10,423 sq feet or 0.24 acres,maximum slopes of 41.7%or 22 degrees)and 1331 feet x 7 feet(9317 sq feet or 0.21 acres,maximum
slopes of 47%or 25 degrees). Roads are temporary and will be reclaimed at the completion of operations.Water bars will be installed
with hand tools to minimize erosion.
Production and Schedule-Roughly 2 to 3 cubic yards of Earth will be moved per day using hand tools. Operations will occur 1 to 2
days per week(about 7 hours per day(9:30a-4:30p+l-))for a total of 35 to 40 days per mining season.A maximum of 0.5 acre will
be disturbed each season, typically on weekends and holidays, with a"work force"of two individuals(sometimes 3)with hand tools
such as a pick and shovel, and hand-held power tools such as a"breaker hammer"that is powered by a small(6hp
+l-)generator.Overburden stock piles will be placed upslope and adjacent to the working excavations. All safety precautions, such
as high benching walls and using safety fence, when appropriate, will be used to minimize erosion and to protect wildlife and other
forest users. The operator assumes no responsibility for the safety of other Forest system users.
Approximate surface disturbance volumes per season include:
Topsoil-8'x 6'x 0.4"'or 0.45 cubic yards x 10 excavations=4.5 cubic yards
Excavations-8'x 6'x 6'or 10.6 cubic yards x 1.25(swell factor)= 13.3 cubic yards x 10 excavations=133 cubic yards
(2 Roads-2820'x 7'x 0.5"=457 loose cubic yards)-reclaimed during final reclamation
Attached drawings(EXHIBIT D1 &D2)show a typical hole, including how top soil, waste rock, and tailings will be used to
contemporaneously reclaim all holes and how existing vegetation will be re-planted.Test holes and prospect pits of various sizes(as
shown on EXHIBIT D1 &D2)are dug to find mineral specimens in Quartz-bearing Pegmatites.
Clearing(cutting trees)will not be required,vegetation will only be disturbed on a very small scale(100 sqft+l-per week)with hand
tools.
Limited Impact"and"Leave No Trace"practices and principals will be applied to all activities.
Safety-As the operator, I will abide by all federal rules and regulations, including but not limited to the Mine Safety and Health Act
and its rules(MSHA).
We will use safety procedures and all PPE(personal protection equipment)will meet or exceed MSHA standards and references.
(If more space is needed to fill out a block of information, use additional sheets and attach form)
-4-
