Repairs were performed <br /> according to the project construction drawing detail. A mini-excavator and skid steer were <br /> used to place drain cover fill (DCF) material over the trench as a protective layer. NewFields <br /> personnel monitored the repair activity. <br /> 2.0 GEOSYNTHETICS <br /> 2.1 Geomembrane Installation <br /> Geomembrane installation continued within the Phase 2A limits shown on Figure 4. <br /> Approximately 101,114 square feet (P-2514 to P-2545) of 80 mil LLDPE (double sided texture) <br /> was deployed. Subgrade was inspected and approved by NewFields, Tezak, Newmont, and <br /> Tetra Tech representatives prior to geomembrane deployment. Approximately 4740 linear feet <br /> of seam was fusion welded using two fusion welding machine/operator combinations. Ten <br /> destructive testing samples were marked during fusion seaming. Approximately 262 linear feet <br /> of seam was extrusion welded using one extrusion welding machine/operator combination. <br /> Two destructive testing samples were marked during extrusion seaming. All destructive tests <br /> performed met project specifications. Non-destructive testing was performed for fusion <br /> welded seams. Repairs were performed using the extrusion welding method for all marked <br /> defects. Vacuum testing was performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. <br /> 2.2 Geomembrane Exposure <br /> No activity during this reporting period <br /> 2.3 Anchor Trench <br /> Approximately 400 feet of anchor trench was excavated in accordance with construction <br /> drawings, project technical specifications, and RFIs. <br /> Page 3 <br />
