Approximately 9,066 linear <br /> feet of seam was fusion welded using three fusion welding machine/operator combinations. 19 <br /> destructive testing samples were marked during fusion seaming. Approximately 641 linear feet <br /> of seam was extrusion welded using two extrusion welding machine/operator combinations. <br /> Six destructive testing samples were marked during extrusion seaming. All destructive tests <br /> performed met project specifications. Non-destructive testing was performed for fusion <br /> welded seams. Repairs were performed using the extrusion welding method for all marked <br /> defects. Vacuum testing was performed for all extrusion welded seams and repairs. The <br /> attached Figure 4 shows the location of geomembrane placed. <br /> 2.2 Geomembrane Exposure <br /> Geomembrane exposure was performed between haul road stations 56+00 and 62+00 to allow <br /> for the tie-in to existing Phase 1 geomembrane. All exposure activities were monitored by a <br /> NewFields representative. <br /> 2.3 Anchor Trench <br /> Approximately 700 feet of anchor trench, both along the 9750' bench and perimeter access <br /> road, was excavated in accordance with construction drawings, project technical specifications, <br /> and RFls. <br /> Anchor trench backfill was performed using a mini excavator and smooth drum roller along the <br /> 9750' bench. A NewFields representative monitored the backfill procedure to ensure the <br /> interim anchor trench was constructed in accordance with the design drawings and project <br /> technical specifications. <br /> 2.4 Geomembrane Deliveries <br /> LLDPE geomembrane deliveries continued this week. A man-lift and loader with forks were <br /> used to offload liner from the truck. Three trucks delivered a total of 36 rolls of 80-mil LLDPE <br /> geomembrane liner. All rolls were placed on a clean and firm surface that had been previously <br /> rolled with a CS76B smooth drum roller.
