September 19,2019 G1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> The RP-4 Pond was dry during the inspection. The trash rack on the spillway was clear of debris. The <br /> embankments were vegetated and stable. No erosional features were observed. <br /> -RP-5 Pond: <br /> The RP-5 Pond was observed to be dry. The spillways were clear of debris. The embankments for the pond were <br /> stable with established vegetation. There were no observed erosional features. The east dich along the base of the <br /> RP-Sa refuse pile leads to the RP-5 Pond. The dich had recently been cleaned(Photo 5). The ditch was stable and <br /> there were no obstructions observed. <br /> -BSDS #1: <br /> The B Seam Dewatering System No 1 was holding water in all of its cells at the time of the inspection. The Last <br /> Chance Pond was discharging. The discharge outlet was unobstructed. The embankments of the system were <br /> vegetated and stable. There were no erosional concerns identified. <br /> -Raw Water Lagoon: <br /> The Raw Water Lagoon was holding water. The embankments of the pond had established vegetation and were <br /> observed to be stable. There were no erosional features. <br /> PROCESSING WASTE/COAL MINE WASTE PILES—Rule 4.10 and 4.11 <br /> Drainage Control; Surface Stabilization; Placement: <br /> -RP-1 Refuse Pile: <br /> The RP-1 refuse pile has been reclaimed for several years. Vegetation on the pile was established and the pile was <br /> stable. There were no erosional features observed. The ditches for the pile lead to the RP-1 Pond. The ditches <br /> were dry during the inspection. <br /> -RP-2//4 and RP-Sa Piles: <br /> The RP-2/3/4and RP-Sa piles were active during the inspection. Refuse was being placed on RP-Sa. The piles <br /> were observed to be stable with rills on the outslopes of both piles. Rills on the piles have been observed in <br /> previous inspections. The rills do not impact the stability of the piles. No other erosional features were observed. <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3),Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4), Surfacing and Maintenance4.031(5)and <br /> (6)/4.03.2(5) and(6), Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.032(7): <br /> The Haul road was in good condition during the inspection. The road was stable and there were no <br /> sections with erosion. Ditches along the Haul Road were clear of debris and dry. No off--site impacts were <br /> observed. Access roads throughout the site were well maintained. The roads were stable and no erosional features <br /> were observed. Off-site impacts were not observed. County Road 65 had recently been repaved and on the dirt <br /> sections regraded. The road was in good repair. <br /> SUPPORT FACILITIES -Rule 4.04: <br /> -Main Facilities and Portals Area: <br /> The main facilities are consists of three benches.
