September 19,2019 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> The PP-2 pond was holding water during the inspection. There was no discharge occurring. The spillways were <br /> free of obstructions. The embankments of the pond have established vegetation on them. There were no erosional <br /> features or indications of instability. <br /> -Facilities Ditches: <br /> The ditches in the facilities are were clear of debris. Culverts connected o the ditches were observed to be in good <br /> repair and functioning. Water on the prep plant bench was being conveyed in the ditches to the DP-1 Pond. There <br /> were no indications of erosional features or instability with any of the ditches. <br /> -RS- 1: <br /> The Rail Loop Sump was dry at the time of the inspection. The spillways were clear of debris. Embankments of <br /> the sump are stable and vegetated. There were no erosional features observed. <br /> - South Rail Loop Ditch: <br /> The south rai loop ditch conveys runoff from the rail loop to the rail loop pond. The ditch was dry and stable. <br /> There were no blockages observed or erosional features identified. <br /> -RR-1 Pond: <br /> The Rail Loop Pond was dry during the inspection. The spillways were clear. The embankments of the pond were <br /> vegetated and stable. No indications of erosion were observed. <br /> - SS-1 Pond: <br /> The SS-1, slot storage pond 1,was observed to be dry during the inspection. The embankments were stable with <br /> established vegetation. There were no erosional concerns identified. <br /> - SS-2 Pond(Photo 3): <br /> The SS-2, slot storage pond 2,was also dry at the time of the inspection. The spillways were clear of debris. The <br /> embankment was stable with no erosional features. The embankment has established vegetation on it. <br /> -RP-1 Pond: <br /> The Refuse Pile No. 1 Pond was dry. The spillways were clear of debris. The embankment for the pond was <br /> vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features observed. <br /> -RP-2/3 Pond: <br /> The RP-2/3 Pond has three cells, a west cell, a main cell and an east cell. During the inspection the west and east <br /> cells of the pond were holding water. There was no discharge into the main cell. The spillways from the west and <br /> east cells to the main cell were in good repair and clear of debris. There were no indications of erosion. The <br /> embankment of the west cell had been repaired since the last inspection(Photo 4). The embankment as stable and <br /> there were no erosional concerns. The embankments for the pond were vegetated.
