The inspection was <br /> completed by Clayton Wein of th Division of Reclamation,Mining and Safety(the Division). Kurt Blunt of Blue <br /> Mountain Energy(BME)was present for the inspection. The weather was clear and breezy with a temperature of <br /> 77 degrees F. The ground conditions were dry. <br /> AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS—Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> The records for the Deserado Mine are located at the mine office. The records were in good condition and <br /> well maintained. For more information please see the attached Availability of Records Form at the end of this <br /> report. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1,4.05.2,4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5,4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br /> Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br /> Drainage—Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> -DP-1 Pond(Photo 1): <br /> The DP-1 Pond was impounding water at the time of the inspection. Discharge was occurring out of the primary <br /> spillway. The trash rack around the primary spillway was clear of obstructions and functioning ass designed. The <br /> emergency spillway was observed to be free of obstructions. No water was flowing through the emergency <br /> spillway. The embankment was vegetated and stable. There were no indications of erosion. <br /> -PP-1 Pond(Photo 2): <br /> The PP-1 pond was holding water. There was no discharge from the pond.
