The proposed permit area includes partial mining claims consisting of: • Juno, • Old Ozie, • Stumper, • Treasury Lode, • Y.G. Extension, and • White Fawn. Reclamation Plan Update The existing Idarado Permit Reclamation Plan generally requires the following: 1) Final land use as range land, 2) No placement of topsoil required, 3) Dismantling of all buildings, 4) Slopes and contouring done to currently accepted standards, 5) 2 to 1 contouring of high banks, if possible, 6) Treasury Tunnel sealed, except for portion that will allow a small amount of drainage water, 7) Keep site runoff to minimum by contouring, and 8) Site reseeding. Due to the ongoing regulatory obligations to maintain reclaimed areas and manage water on the Site, Idarado is requesting to modify the Reclamation Plan for the Site to allow some buildings, structures, and the current Treasury Tunnel water management system to remain. The buildings that will remain onsite will consist of the new maintenance shop and the fuel shed. Idarado proposes to leave one foundation and three structures onsite to provide a visual historical artifact for sightseers driving along Highway 550 or stopping at the CDOT owned historical overlook located adjacent to the Site. The following describes the proposed final reclamation for the buildings/structures onsite: Mill The mill was demolished, but some of the foundation was retained for historic viewing purposes. The mill foundation that remains was partially buried, graded to a gentle slope, and seeded. Retaining Wall The retaining wall between the existing maintenance shop and the reclaimed tailings pond will remain to keep the stormwater diversion structure around the tailings pond intact. Treasury Tunnel The Treasury Tunnel will remain sealed with two steel doors, but access is retained for maintenance purposes. The drainage water will continue to be conveyed to a tank, and 2
