July 17, 2019 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8;Impoundments 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream <br /> Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> The pond systems visited comprised: Oak, Grouse, Horse, Jeffway, Deacon, Middle Flume, and East <br /> Pyeatt. Water in ponds appeared clear with the exceptions noted. Unless otherwise noted,pond banks and <br /> dams appeared stable at the time of inspection and spillways and flumes appeared in good repair and <br /> functioning adequately. <br /> Oak System: <br /> o Oak Ponds were holding water that appeared turbid. The ponds were not discharging at <br /> the time of inspection. <br /> o Upper Oak drainage has a gully requiring repair. <br /> Flume System: <br /> o Middle Flume#1 held a small amount of water. Surface growth on north shore was <br /> observed. <br /> o Middle Flume#3 was holding water that appeared turbid at the time of inspection. The <br /> pond was not discharging <br /> o East Flume held a small amount of water <br /> Horse System: <br /> o West Horse held a small amount of water. The flume appeared to be functioning <br /> adequately at the time of inspection, where there was some exposed erosion control <br /> fabric. No issues were identified at spillway, where there was also some exposed <br /> erosion control fabric. Some ground squirrel activities were noted at the time of <br /> inspection. <br /> o Horse Pond#1 held clear water and was not discharging at the time of inspection. The <br /> flume appeared to be functioning adequately at the time of inspection, where there was <br /> some exposed erosion control fabric. Exposed erosion fabric was noted in drainage from <br /> spillway. <br /> Deacon System: <br /> o Deacon held a small amount of water at some point during the course of the Spring. It's <br /> spillways are stable and grasses are establishing on banks and dam surfaces. <br /> Jeffway System: <br /> o At the time of inspection Jeffway Pond held some water. Cattle have grazed the seed <br /> heads off the grasses along the dam top. Sediment markers were visible at the time of <br /> inspection as was pond signage. <br /> TOPSOIL—RULE 4.06 <br /> Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3;Redistribution 4.06.4 <br /> Topsoil stockpiles stockpiles created in 2018: <br /> 18-2 Johnson Coal Pile <br /> 18-3 Ash Dump <br /> 18-5 KS 1 Road North End <br /> 19-1 K Ridge Reclamation <br /> o Temporary seeding appeared to be taking hold and, topsoil pile slopes appeared stable at <br /> the time of inspection. <br /> o No instability was noted on the observed topsoil piles and the piles appeared to be <br /> marked appropriately. <br /> o No riling or gullying at topsoil piles was apparent at the time of inspection. <br /> Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 1 <br /> Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br />
