This stricture is approximately 570 feet from <br /> the east slope of the mine pit. Because the factors of safety for a stricture closer to the mine pit <br /> slopes is above the minimum target FS, it is assumed that this structure is safe from damage due <br /> to active mining operations. <br /> Structure #5 -Billboard 3 <br /> This structure is an advertisement billboard owned by Lamar Advertising adjacent to the east side <br /> of Highway 93 near the Arcosa processing facility. This structure is approximately 650 feet from <br /> the east slope of the mine pit. Because the factors of safety for a structure closer to the mine pit <br /> slopes is above the minimum target FS, it is assumed that this structure is safe from damage due <br /> to active mining operations. <br /> Structure #6-Abandoned Railroad Car <br /> This structure is owned by Arcosa and sits on the east side of Highway 93 within the permit <br /> boundary. This structure is approximately 600 feet from the east slope of the mine pit. Because the <br /> factors of safety for a structure closer to the mine pit slopes is above the minimum target FS, it is <br /> assumed that this structure is safe from damage due to active mining operations. <br /> Structure # 7-Arcosa Fence line <br /> This is a wood post and barbed-wire fence that generally encompasses the west side of the permit <br /> boundary around the quarry.It is owned and maintained by Arcosa.This structure is approximately <br /> 78 feet from the east slope of the mine pit at its nearest point (i.e., within the Highway 93 ROW). <br /> The factors of safety for this stricture is above the minimum target FS,as it is within the Highway <br /> 93 ROW, which was evaluated as part of the stability model discussed above. Since other portions <br /> of this structure around the Site are farther from the mine pit,those portions are assumed to be safe <br /> from damage due to active mining operations. <br /> Structure #8- Overhead Power Lines <br /> This stricture is owned by Excel Energy and consists of wooden or metal power poles and <br /> electrical power lines. Like the fence line, this structure traverses' portions of the site within the <br /> Highway 93 ROW and around other portions of the site. This stricture is approximately 105 feet <br /> from the east slope of the quarry.
