C-25 rl
CSC is currently evaluating three(3) options for provision of the required water supply, as follows:
(1) Purchase of water from a nearby water storage and sales facility situated approximately two miles west of
the Keenesburg Project location,in which case, water would be delivered to site via a temporary,on-ground,
collapsible hose system extending from the source to the Keenesburg Project Permit Area;
(2) Purchase of water and trucked delivery of the water to the Keenesburg Project facilities from an existing
industrial supply well located on land owned by Guttersen Ranches LLC, and which is completed within
the(deep) Laramie-Fox Hills aquifer system at a depth in excess of 500 ft. below ground surface.;and,
(3) Purchase of water from a currently under development industrial supply well(also being completed within
the (deep) Laramie-Fox Hills aquifer, and owned and operated by Guttersen Ranches LLC) located
proximal to the Permit Area within Section 12, in which case water would be delivered to site via a
temporary, on-ground, collapsible hose system extending from the well-head location to the Keenesburg
Project Permit Area.
Each of the options is capable of providing the necessary water requirements for the short-duration project, and
final determination of the preferred source remains pending at this time. Irrespective of the selected water source,
CSC envisions no significant effect on the proposed Project scope. However, in the event trucking of water is
determined to be the preferred method, CSC does anticipate truck traffic counts will increase by an estimated forty
(40) round trips per day. This contingency will be integrated into any Weld County"Use by Special Review" (or
equivalent)process imposed on the Project.
Onsite water storage will consist of a bulk water storage tank(21,000 gallons capacity)located proximal to the wet
plant facilities. In addition,in-process vessels,to include the clarifier unit(45,000 gallons capacity)and the"clear-
well"(13,000 gallons of clarified water)will augment the water supply circuit.
Dust suppression activities are anticipated to consume 18,000 to 20,000 gpd. Dust suppression will be applied to
all roads internal to the Permit Area and along the segment of main access road extending to Weld County Road
59. Water will be sourced from the main bulk storage tank on an as-required basis.
