26 June 2019 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> ROADS—Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3) 14.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) 14.03.2(4); Surfacing and <br /> Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and (6) 14.03.2(5) and (6)". Reclamation 4.03.1(7) 14.03.2(7) <br /> o Haul roads and access roads appeared in good repair, well maintained and free of ruts. <br /> o Road watering was taking place throughout the day. <br /> o Ditches appeared to be functioning adequately. <br /> o No culverts were observed to be discharging at the time of inspection. <br /> SUPPOR T FA CILITIES—Rule 4.04 <br /> o Support facilities, ash pit, ready line and explosive storage areas were <br /> visited. Surfaces were well compacted, with no evidence of cracks, fissures <br /> or standing water. The western edge of the surface was moist but not <br /> puddled as a result of recent precipitation. <br /> o A 2 ft *2 ft puddle of black, oily water was observed at the ready line <br /> beneath a mobile fuel pump tank where secondary containment had not <br /> functioned adequately. The operator agreed to mitigate the spill with <br /> appropriate absorption materials. No offsite impacts as a result of this <br /> mishap were noted at the time of inspection. <br /> HYDROLOGIC BALANCE—Rule 4.05 <br /> Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge <br /> Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br /> Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage-Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments <br /> 4.05.6,4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18 <br /> The pond systems visited comprised: Deal,Flume,Pyeatt,Impoundment H,and the Industrial Waste Pond. <br /> Water in ponds appeared clear with the exceptions noted. If ponds were discharging it was not more than <br /> a trickle.
