<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> 20 <br />holes, five degas boreholes, five nitrogen boreholes and one pilot hole to assess the geotechnical <br />conditions of the forthcoming return shaft RS-13L. The revision also proposed associated access <br />roads for the previously mentioned features. <br /> <br />Minor Revision 172 was received on September 26, 2017, deemed complete on October 4, 2017 <br />and approved on October 5, 2017. The revision proposed to install a back-up D-Portal <br />ventilation fan. <br /> <br />Minor Revision 173 was received on March 6, 2018, deemed complete on March 16, 2018 and <br />approved on March 20, 2018. The revision proposed geotechnical test coring for a potential <br />future refuse disposal site. <br /> <br />Minor Revision 174 was received on August 21, 2018, deemed complete on August 24, 2018 and <br />approved on August 27, 2018. The revision proposed to update the N2 line routing and include <br />the SH-4 HDPE waterline into the permit. The line routing for the N2 line and the waterline was <br />not proposed to increase beyond that which was already approved in the permit. <br /> <br />Technical Revisions: <br /> <br />Technical Revision 70 was received on October 11, 2016, deemed complete on October 13, 2016 <br />and approved on November 18, 2016. The revision proposed to install a new mine dewatering <br />system, the B-Seam Dewatering System #2. The water was proposed to be pumped to the <br />surface through an existing service hole. The revision proposed to disturb 9.85 acres of land. <br /> <br />Technical Revision 71 was received on June 9, 2017, deemed complete on July 19, 2017 and <br />approved on July 25, 2017. The revision proposed the addition of a 26 inch diameter return shaft <br />(RS-13L). The shaft was proposed to be located on the disturbance created with MR-171 and no <br />new roads were needed. <br /> <br />Surety Reduction: <br /> <br />Surety Reduction 3 was received on February 28, 2017, deemed complete on February 28, 2017 <br />and approved on February 28, 2017. The surety reduction was proposed after the 2017 Midterm <br />Review No. 7 was completed. The required bond for the Deserado Mine was reduced by <br />$122,515.42. <br /> <br />Review Process <br /> <br />The Division received the RN-07 application from BME on January 30, 2019. The submittal <br />included an application form for a permit renewal, a proposed public notice and proof of liability <br />insurance. <br /> <br />The RN-07 application was deemed complete on February 1, 2019. Public Notices were <br />published in the Rio Blanco Herald Times once per week for four consecutive weeks beginning <br />on February 14, 2019 and ending on March 7, 2019. Copies of the application were filed with the <br />Town Clerkâs Office at the Rangely Town Hall, and the Denver office of the Division. Letters
