February 26, 2019 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 2 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />was observed. Water discharging from the pond was at a rate of 145 gpm. The cells of the dewatering system <br />were frozen over and covered with snow. No erosional features or signs of instability were observed. <br /> <br />- RP -4 and RP-5 Ponds (Photo 3) <br />Both the RP-4 and RP-5 ponds were covered with snow. There was no discharge occurring from the outlets. The <br />embankments were stable with no erosional features. <br /> <br />- RP -2/3 Pond <br />The west cell and the main cell of the RP -2/3 Pond were not impounding water. The ponds were covered with <br />snow. The east cell had frozen water in it. The embankments of the cells were stable and there were no <br />indications of er osion. On the East side of the RP-2/3 Pond a few half CMPs were observed on the ground. <br />Please remove these CMPs from the area. <br /> <br />- Raw Water Lagoon <br />The Raw Water Lagoon was frozen and covered with snow during the inspection. The pump was active. The <br />em bankments were stable and there were no erosional features observed. To the west of the pond, a large amount <br />of ponded water and ice has built up. This is also located next to County Road 65 and the White River. The Ice <br />and ponded water was at the same level as the river and c lose to reaching the level of CR-65. The water and Ice <br />did not appear to have an effect on the Raw Water Lagoon. <br /> <br />- DP -1 (Photo 4) <br />The DP-1 Pond is located below the main facilities area. The pond was impounding water during the inspection. <br />The pond was frozen and covered in snow. There was no discharge occurring from the pond. The embankment <br />had no indications of instability or erosion. <br /> <br />- Facilities Area Ditches. <br />Snowmelt was occurring during the inspection. Ditches in the main facilities area were clear of debris and <br />functioning to transport water to the DP-1 Pond. Culverts in the area had no observed blockages. <br />
