3h:1 v final reclaimed slopes will be established concurrently as mining
progresses through the phases. At the completion of mining of the north mining
area, topsoil, and seed will be placed above the reservoir water line on all
disturbed areas, and topsoil and seed will be placed on the disturbed areas in the
south mining and stockpile area, west wash plant and sediment pond area, and
topsoil will be placed on the Parcel B area. See also the attached revised Exhibit E
narrative.
21) Please specify the proposed post-mining land use for Parcel B.
Response: The land in Parcel B will return to its historical agricultural use after
mining is complete.
22) Please describe the reclamation to be achieved in Parcel B. Where will topsoil for this area
be derived for reclamation? Is there an existing topsoil stockpile in this area, or will the
topsoil be hauled in from Parcel A?
Response: Parcel B will be reclaimed by being scarified and have topsoil placed
on the surface. It will then be returned to its historical agricultural use. The topsoil
for this parcel has been stockpiled in a berm along the east edge of the parcel as a
screening berm and buffer from the adjacent property to the east.
23) Please describe the reclamation to be achieved for sediment ponds and any other water
conveyance or storage structures to be reclaimed.
Response: Any ponds or ditches that are outside the mining limits will be
backfilled, topsoiled, and seeded or used as agricultural farm ground after mining
