(b) Maximum gradient of reclaimed slopes <br /> • Slopes can exceed 3:1 horizontal to vertical angles due to this being mountainous terrain. <br /> Terrain is Forestry and will remain for Forestry use after post-mining operations. Areas of <br /> disturbance reclaimed, hydromulched using recommended seed mixtures then utilized as a <br /> fire break. Due to angles it may be required to also utilize erosion nets in a few limited <br /> areas as best practice. Material for erosion control is Jute Netting and secured by non- <br /> treated wooden stakes or equivalent. According to a manufacturer: Jute Net is fully <br /> biodegradable in 2 to 3 years depending on soil and weather conditions. <br /> • Information acquired from U.S.D.A.
