October 11, 2018 C-1981-018/Deserado Mine CCW <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 0 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 6 <br /> <br />debris and functioning as designed. The emergency spillway was dry and stable. Both the PP -1 pond and the PP -2 <br />pond were holding water. There was no discharge observed from either pond. The embankments were stable with <br />well-established vegetation. No erosional features were identified. The Rail Loop Sump was dry during the <br />inspection. The embankments were stable and well vegetat ed. There were no indications of erosion. The Rail <br />Loop Pond was holding a small amount of water (Photo 2). There was no discharge. The embankments were well <br />vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features identified. The SS -1 Pond was dry. The Embankments <br />were well vegetated with no erosional concerns. The pond was stable. The B-Seam #2 Dewatering System was <br />holding a small amount of water in the first and second cell. There was no discharge from the system and the <br />pump was not running during the inspection. The embankments to the three cells were in good repair and stable. <br />Vegetation on the embankments was growing in well. No erosional features were observed. All cells of the B- <br />Seam #1 Dewatering System were impounding water. Discharge from the last cell of the pond was observed <br />(Photo 3). The embankments to the cells were stable and well vegetated. There were no indications of erosion. <br />The RP-2/3 pond was holding water in the main cell and the east cell. The west cell was dry. No discharge was <br />observed from the main cell. The primary spillway was clear of debris. The embankments to the cells were well <br />vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features identified. The RP -4 pond was holding a small amount of <br />water. There was no discharge from the pond. The spillway was in good repair and capable of functioning as <br />designed. The embankments were stable with well-established vegetation. No erosional features were observed. <br />The RP-5 Pond was holding some water at the time of the inspection. Ther e was no discharge from the pond. The <br />spillway was clear of debris and functional. The embankments of the pond were stable and well vegetated. There <br />were no indications of erosion. <br /> <br />Photo 1: The DP-1 Pond.
