generated fines,the product of previous mining efforts and sluice box rejected sediment backfill. <br /> This substitute topsoil and fines material will have a silty fine grain size and will be amended with <br /> a soil augmenter and mulch for reclamation. Fast growing species such as quickoats may be <br /> planted to introduce organic material into the developing topsoil. Following quickoat initial <br /> growth, oats will be tilled into the topsoil. This sequence has been shown to be effective in <br /> helping to rebuild organic matter in topsoils that are lacking in nutritional elements. <br /> At the end of the mining life, the following equipment will be dismantled and hauled off site: <br /> • all fuel tanks <br /> • piping, portable conveyors, pumps, etc. <br /> • office trailers <br /> • portable processing plants <br /> Internal roads will be left in place throughout the property to be used post reclamation. Electric <br /> power poles will remain for post-mining land use. The lined berms around any and all fuel <br /> storage tanks will be removed while pre-law sporadic earthen berms and dredged gravel piles <br /> throughout the site will remain. <br /> While wetland areas exist onsite, no lands with wetlands will be mined and no new wetland <br /> vegetation species will be planted during reclamation. <br /> 2. Reclamation Timetable <br /> Reclamation will take place concurrent with mining with an additional estimated 6 months of <br /> reclamation commencing after mining is completed. Mining is projected to be completed by <br /> 2043. Therefore, final reclamation and bond release is expected to be completed by 2044 or <br /> within 25 years. Exhibit L: Reclamation Costs describes the worst case bond scenario. <br /> 3. Revegetation Plan <br /> For each area of reclamation, lands will not need to be disked to loosen the soil as all soils to be <br /> reclaimed will be recently filled topographic lows throughout the site that previously served as <br /> sediment settling ponds and deposits for sluice reject sediments that result in settled but <br /> unconsolidated soils as opposed to traditional hard packed reclaimed earth.
