2. Reclamation Timetable
The schedule of reclamation will closely follow the mining plan, and the operator would expect
to start reclamation as soon as feasible after mining has been completed, in a 5 acre mining area,
and the operator would expect to have vegetation ready for release within a 3 - 5 year period.
This sequencing will allow for the floating bond of 25 acres. The time for reclamation is shown
below—Table E-2. The owner/applicant agrees that all reclamation shall be carried to
completion with all reasonable diligence and reclamation shall be completed within five (5)
years from the date the owner/applicant informs the Board or office that reclamation has
commenced.
Table E-2 Reclamation Timetable
Years Activity
1-20 Concurrent mining and
reclamation
20 Final backfilling and grading;
Revegetation
21 Revegetation monitoring
22 _ Revegetation monitoring
3. Revegetation Plan
For each area of reclamation soil will be disked to loosen the soil. Due to the mild grade, seed
can be drilled in all areas; broadcast seeding will be utilized where reclaimed perimeter slopes do
not allow drilling. Seed mixes listed below will be used to revegetate the site with a pastureland
mix. Certified weed free mulch will be crimped into the surface at 2000 lbs. per acre. Heavy
furrows will be left in the tilled topsoil to provide moisture concentration and shade areas in
order to promote better conditions for successful vegetation establishment. Seeding will take
place during the fall following re-topsoiling of slopes. Slopes will be regraded, backfilled, and
re-topsoiled as soon as they are able to be reclaimed.
In the revegetated areas the reclamation plan has been designed for grazing cattle and home sites
with grasses that self-generate without continued dependence on irrigation. Fertilization will be
as per NRCS recommendations no fertilizer is recommended.
No forest planting is planned. This is not consistent with the reclamation plan of pastureland and
residential development.
Robinson Gravel No 1
September 2018 E-4 __
