No adits or shafts will be employed in <br /> this open pit. <br /> Maximum slopes and slope combinations shall be compatible with the configuration of the <br /> surrounding conditions and selected land use. Where the pit does not daylight, backsloping <br /> during mining will be completed at a slope of 31-1:I V or flatter. No lakes or ponds are designed <br /> for the final reclamation, which is designed for pastureland and home sites. Therefore, no <br /> swimming areas are proposed. <br /> The Operator's/Applicant's and Landowners' choice of pastureland reclamation for cattle <br /> production and residential development will require slopes of 31-1: IV or flatter in order to <br /> establish good cattle grazing areas, plus level areas to construct homes, barns etc. additionally to <br /> prevent erosion. Farm machinery will be used only at the time of revegetation and will not be a <br /> factor long range. <br /> The Operator/Applicant, in conjunction with the landowners, will use reject/overburden only to <br /> fill areas within the MLRB Permit boundary. No inert structural fill is planned for fill at this site. <br /> If it becomes necessary to import inert structural fill to accomplish the reclamation of this mine <br /> site the operator will provide the Office notice. <br /> All mined material will be handled in such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized pollutants <br /> escaping to the surface drainage system. The sand and gravel stockpiles will be located and <br /> arranged to avoid any uncontrolled runoff of stormwater from this site. Earthen Berms will be <br /> used to keep storm water from going off site.
