Technical Revision 03 <br /> Thompson Resource August2l, 2018 <br /> M-1983-102 <br /> This Technical Revision request is to remove the requirement that <br /> the floor of this mining operation be resoiled and revegetated <br /> and that the bond be reduced to reflect this change . <br /> During permitting in 2009 it was determined by the Division that <br /> because the area did not have the proper zoning that the proposed <br /> reclamation plan to just grade the area and leave it as a parking <br /> area was not compatible with the allowed end use at the local <br /> government level . The Division required that the bond amount <br /> include a cost to reclaim the floor area covering approximately <br /> 24 .4 acres, needed 19, 680 yards of soil (6 inches deep) and <br /> revegetation, with associated costs . <br /> On July 13 , 2010, the permit area was annexed into the Town of <br /> Granby and zoned Industrial (I) and a Conditional Use for Mining <br /> was approved (renewed 2017) . In the cities Industrial zone <br /> district the area can be used as an equipment parking area, raw <br /> material sales area or any other uses that require a graded level <br /> area, as a use by right . Attached is a copy of the Conditional <br /> Use Permit as approved and the Industrial Zoning information from <br /> Granby' s zoning resolution showing the uses by right, highlighted <br /> in yellow, that supports leaving the area as a graded parking <br /> area. <br /> The table shows the current conditions and the as built condition <br /> for the reclamation activities at the mine. We have included a <br /> bond calculation work sheet based on a worst case scenario that <br /> allows for the mine to progress to the east .
