The ditch located behind the wash plant on the west side of the
bench had some sediment built up in it. The Division recommends cleaning out this ditch when seasonal
maintenance occurs . The culverts located throughout the main facilities are were clear of debris and cap able of
functioning as designed. The ditches transporting water from the wash plant bench are made of half CMP culverts.
The ditc hes were clear of debris and functioning as designed. Water was flowing through these ditches to DP -1 at
the time of the inspection.

There is one sump, RS-1, and one pond, RR-1, located on the south side of the rail loadout. T he embankments of
RS -1 were stable and well vegetated. There were no indications of erosion. The sump was dry. The RR -1 Pond
was also dry during the inspection. The embankments were well vegetated and stable. No erosional issues were
noted.

Two ponds, SS-1 and SS-2, are located at the Slot Storage facility. Both of the ponds were dry at the time of the
inspection. The embankments were stable and well vegetated. There were no erosional features identified.

Ditches along the Haul Road were clear of debris and capable of func tioning as designed. There was not any
water flowing in the ditches during the inspection. The berms along the haul road wer e intact and in good repair.
There were no sections that had breaches or off-site impacts observed.

There are four ponds located at the refuse disposal area. One pond, RP -1 pond, is located to the north of the
reclaimed refuse pile RP -1. The pond was dry at the time of the inspection. The embankment was stable and well
vegetated. There were no erosional features identified. Th e primary and emergency spillways were clear of debris
and capable of functioning as designed. Refuse ponds RP -2/3, RP-4 and RP-5 are located to the north of the
refuse piles RP-2/3/4 and RP-5a. Refuse Pond RP-2/3 consists of three cells; a main cell, a west cell and an east
cell. The main and west cells of the pond were dry. The east cell of the pond was holding water during the
inspection. There was no discharge from the east cell to the main cell. The embankments had well established
vegetation on them. There were no indications of instability or erosion. The discharge outlet and emergency
spillway were clear of debris and capable of functioning as designed. The RP -4 Pond was dry. The embankments
showed no indications of erosion or instability. The embankments had well established vegetation on them. The
discharge outlet and emergency spillway were clear from debris and able to function as designed. At the time of
the inspection, no water was impounded in the RP -5 Pond. There were no signs of instability or erosion on the
embankments. The vegetation on the embankments was well established. The discharge outlet was clear of debris
and capable of functioning as designed.

The B Seam Dewatering System No. 1 (BDS1) is the primary dewatering syst em for the mine workings. All cells
of the BDS1 were holding water during the inspection . There was no discharge out of the primary spillway. The
level of the water impounded in the last cell had almost reached the elevation of the spillway. The embankments
to all of the cells were well vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features observed.

The B Seam Dewatering System No. 2 (BDS2) is a secondary dewatering system to BDS1. The dewatering
system consists of 3 cells. The upper and middle cell were holding water. The lower cell of the system was dry.
There was no discharge from BDS2. It has been documented in previous Division inspection reports that the
