(10) All mined material to be disposed of within the affected area must be handled in <br /> such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized release of pollutants to the surface <br /> drainage system: <br /> All mined material will be handled in such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized release of <br /> pollutants to the surface drainage system. All stockpiled material will be located and managed so <br /> as to avoid any uncontrolled runoff. All storm water runoff from the site will be managed in <br /> accordance with the Operation's Stormwater Management Plan. Therefore, no unauthorized <br /> release of pollutants should occur. <br /> (11) No unauthorized release of pollutants to ground water shall occur from any <br /> materials mined, handled or disposed of within the permit area: <br /> No ground water pollutants shall be released from the site. No fuel tanks are present on site. If <br /> fuel or oil spills occur on site in reportable quantities, they will be cleaned up. Based on an EPA <br /> guidance document, an SPCC plan is not required for this operation. <br /> 3.1.6 Water-General Requirements: <br /> (1) Hydrology and Water Quality: <br /> Ground water is discussed in Exhibit"G". As proposed, the mining and reclamation plans will <br /> not adversely affect surface water hydrology or surface and ground water quality. In addition, a <br /> revised Stormwater Management Plan is being prepared. If needed, a CPDES permit will be <br /> prepared and submitted to the Colorado Water Quality Control Division. <br /> (a) Compliance with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations governing injury <br /> to water rights: <br /> The Operator will comply with Colorado water laws and regulations governing injury to <br /> existing water rights. The Operator will comply all with applicable Federal and Colorado water <br /> quality laws and regulations, including all the standards adopted by the State Water Quality <br /> Control Commission. (Please see items 3.1.5 (10), and(I1) above.) <br /> The operation is not expected to intercept the regional ground water table or impact ground <br /> water. <br /> (b) Compliance with applicable federal and Colorado water quality laws and <br /> regulations, including statewide water quality standards and site-specific classifications <br /> and standards adopted by the Water Quality Control Commission: <br /> The Operator will comply with all applicable Federal and Colorado water quality laws and <br /> regulations, including all the standards adopted by the State Water Quality Control <br /> Commission. <br /> 31 <br />
