In order to avoid impacts that would require additional surveys, consultation,and/or permitting,
all ground disturbing activities must be located outside of mapped wetland and riparian areas. Pinyon
recommends the following:
• If construction activities are going to occur in mapped wetland and riparian areas, Pinyon recommends
that prior to ground disturbance additional surveys are conducted for threatened and endangered
species. Depending on the outcome of the surveys, consultation with the USFWS may be required.
• If construction activities occur during the nesting season (generally April I — August 31), Pinyon
recommends conducting pre-construction nest surveys. Depending on the outcome of the surveys,
coordination with the USFWS or CPW may be required.
