/ Cross Gold Mine at Caribou, Colorado
/ Project Manager
completed our forty hour safety training. Our fire extinguishers have been
serviced for the year. Sturgeon Electric completed our annual grounding
certification for the mines 480/240/120 volt electrical circuits. We are going
through our shop supplies inventory and cleaning/arranging everything for the
small scale production program.
I have attached a plan map that shows the tunnel level of the Cross Gold Mine.
We will be tramming the ore with a Mancha 1.5 ton battery locomotive and will
use three 1.5 ton CS Card rocker dump mine cars. One flat car will be used for
moving supplies in and out of the mine. Our track gauge is 18 inch on 30 pound
rail. We use two ventilation fans. One is a 10 hp. 480 volt axi-vane fan that is a
suction fan and pulls air from our headings and exhausts it up our escape-way
shaft. The second fan is a 20 hp,480 fan that blows fresh air through a vent bag
to our working headings. We are using two Midwest SF 83 Jack Leg drills for
drilling. We use an Eimco 12 B track mucking machine for loading ore into the
mine cars. The ore will be dumped at our outside tressel and moved each day
into our large green building via our Volvo L70C front end loader. The green
building has thick concrete floors and retaining walls. The building is secure and
the ore will not be in contact with the outside environment. We are researching
several possible milling arrangements off site for milling later in the summer or
fall, but for now the ore will be stockpiled.
We will continue to maintain our water discharge systems and all mine related
systems in the most professional way possible to ensure full environmental
compliance.
Our buildings, equipment, underground workings will be maintained in a neat
and orderly manor at all times. Excellence in environmental standards will be
our goal to up-hold.
Worker safety is our number one priority at all times.
