Box 239
Hot Sulphur Springs , CO 80451
Dear Lurline,
The Division of Wildlife has reviewed the proposed expansion of the
"Inspiration Point Gravel Pit" fom possible wildlife impacts.
There will likely be some direct displacement of birds and mammals
by conversion of this habitat to industrial/gravel mining
operations.
The Division of Wildlife has classified the surrounding Land area
as important deer and elk winter range . However, the impacts to
these animals should be minimal because of the existing gravel pit
operation that tipzcally does not operate during the critical
months of November through April.
Based upon these observations , the Division of wildlife does not
anticipate any significant impacts to wildlife on the Inspiration
Point Gravel Pit, nor does it find any threatened or endangered
species which would be affected by such an expansion.
Sincerely,
Bob Thompson
District Wildlife Manager
Box 617
Kxemmling, CO 80459
xc: file
Cathy Craig, AWM
CE?4RTMENT CF NATURAL R$SCURCES.•4ennetn Sa►azar. =xecunve Gireav
WPXUFE CCMMISSICN.William A. .yegaeM,Memoer-ccaon W.Czcaer.C`airman-;:wix Chavez Memaer-?eoecca L. =,am 'Aemoer
L3ucs F jwirt. `.samoer-3aorge V7n0entlerg.M&fter-urry M.',Vngnt. %%ember-71homas M Eve.
