By geographic area: Aspects of these ongoing and new reclamation
activities and monitoring will be reflected in a series of Reclamation
Plan Maps (Exhibit F), Separated to depict the reclamation status in
various geographic areas of the site.
b. By reclamation phase: Utilize a series of reclamation maps to depict
the phases of reclamation. Series of separate maps will focus on
details of each area of site, and show early, middle and fully reclaimed
conditions.
c. One overall reclamation map showing entire site in final reclaimed
condition. Will be updated to reflect areas which have been released.
d. Final Note: Maps will also include areas where details of final
reclamation are not yet known for purposes of this Amendment. As
reclamation standards or requirements are defined in the future, the
reclamation needs and plans will be formulated and DRMS approvals
obtained, through future technical revisions.
5. Reclamation Costs (Exhibit L)
a. With the amended set of reclamation tasks, updated reclamation costs must be
included in the Amendment.
b. The costs will be grouped under each separate "affected area" of the site, and
will list the general earthwork, revegetation, and cleanup tasks as separate line
items.
c. The costs for near-term tasks will be presented separately from the later- or
long-term task costs.
d. Due to the need for multiple reclamation phases, the cost breakdowns may be
presented in separate phases, which may help in keeping the total required
bond amount lower.
e. Upon submitting the Amendment, DRMS will review the list of reclamation
tasks, and perform its own estimate of the reclamation costs. The updated
estimate may result in a bond increase. If so, the additional bonding must be
submitted before the amendment can be fully approved and activities
implemented.
