Weed control plan. <br /> Weed Control Plan <br /> General Shale has identified some or all of the following weed species: <br /> Common mullein Houndstongue Scotch Thistle <br /> Diffuse knapweed Bull Thistle Dalmatian Toadflax <br /> Russian knapweed Canada Thistle Yellow Toadflax <br /> Spotted knapweed Musk Thistle <br /> General Shale will utilize a contractor to spray the weeds. The contractor will be asked to use <br /> herbicides that are not toxic to humans or animals. The herbicide used will depend on which weeds <br /> are present. The mines will be sprayed on an as needed basis and/or every other year if there weeds <br /> are present. If necessary the weeds will be mowed prior to the application of the herbicide. <br /> Mowing, depending on the weed species present, may be used as a treatment in addition to the <br /> weed spraying. <br /> A check for the TR submittal is enclosed.
