Some are double walled, others will be located <br /> within bermed or lined areas that have over 110% of the volume of the largest stored tank. Fuel <br /> tanks can be found in the center of the site on the pit floor and with all associated processing <br /> areas. Any spills of fuel or other hazardous material will be reported to the Division as soon as <br /> they are discovered. <br /> The gravel operation generates approximately 750 CY of fines per 100,000 tons processed. The <br /> operation will process 150,000 tons of gravel per year and will produce 1,125 CY tons of fines per <br /> year. Crusher fines will be used as backfill for reclamation or be mixed in secondary products <br /> (road base, etc.)that are sold. Silts and fines from the sluices/wash plants will be used as substitute <br /> topsoil. <br /> Portable concrete and/or asphalt plants may be erected on the site periodically. Material crushed <br /> and stockpiled on-site may be used for asphalt production. Maximum asphalt production will not <br /> exceed 2,000 tons per day. Asphalt production may occur only during the warm season months <br /> of April through October.
