Please depict and label the Platte City Ditch on the revised
Reclamation Plan Map.
See the revised Map F-1.
10. The Applicant did not update the Mining Plan to account for relocation of the Platte
City Ditch. The Mining Plan shall be updated to provide the following information:
a. Specifv the timing gf'relocating the Platte City Ditch.
The Platte City Ditch will be relocated within 180 days of the approval of this technical revision
by the Division.
b. Provide a commitment to professionally survey the new alignment of the Platte
Citv Ditch.
The new ditch alignment will be mapped for general knowledge only.
c. Provide a commitment to have the Platte City Ditch inspected by a qualified
engineer following the realignment of'the Platte City Ditch, with findings from
the inspection submitted to the Division in writing.
High Speed Mining personnel will inspect the ditch for usability, but no engineering design or
certification will be provided. It is not necessary, as the water commissioner has informed the
operator that they have the right to re-align the ditch as they see fit.
d. Specific the material which will be used for the bed lining of'the Platte City
Ditch.
No bed lining will be used in the ditch, as it will be excavated in the native material, which has
shown a low permeability. This is the same as the ditch currently exists in.
e. Provide a commitment to notify the Division and the District 23 Water
Commissioner prior to running water through the realigned Platte City Ditch,
so that the ditch may,be inspected to ensure it was constructed in accordance
with the approved'dining and Reclamation Plans.
The water commissioner will be notified once the new ditch alignment is in place. This is
typically done informally, with a phone call.
Conclusion
The table below lists the revised pages, new pages, and revised maps attached to this response.
Attachment Table
Attached Page Attached Map
Commissioner email C-2
F-1
Please contact me with any further questions.
Regards,
Fairplay Au TR07 3 _:-+ra. .. 3-.{„t<•.=+_
