DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS SECTION 01025-MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT PART 1-GENERAL The entire cost of the work and the material necessary to complete all items shown on the Contract Documents or specified herein,shall be included and merged into the pay items in the Proposal Schedule. All payments shall be subject to the conditions of these specifications. Any work not specifically listed is to be included in these items. All pay items shall include materials,transportation expenses to the job site,cost of installation,maintenance during construction,guarantees and warranties(if applicable),profit,sales tax,license,permits,and other taxes required for the completion of the project in-place for each item in the Proposal Schedule. Payment for items on a"lineal foot basis"shall be measured upon the horizontal plane after installation. Payment for items will be made after installation. No additional compensation will be allowed for any item beyond the limits as shown on the Contract Drawings without prior written approval of the Engineer. For earthwork items,no adjustment to the extended cost,as bid,will be made unless the measured quantity differs from the bid quantity by greater than 5%. 1. Mobilization/Demobilization Furnish at the job site all equipment,facilities,and materials required to complete construction of the slurry wall platform,slurry wall,and overflow spillway. This item shall include,but is not limited to,move-in,move-out,bonds and insurance,setting up construction trailers,site preparation,and staging area preparation. This item will be paid on a lump sum basis with the following schedule: 50%of this item shall be paid at the job startup,25%of this item shall be paid at the completion of 50%of the contract value and the final 25%shall be paid at substantial completion. 2. Slurry Wall Platform and Embankment Construction Furnish all equipment,labor and materials required for construction of the slurry wall platform for the project including but not limited to:removal of all incidental vegetation in affected areas, including hauling offsite and disposal of removed brush and trees;compacted fill necessary to widening the platform;bedrock cleaning and preparation in areas where the platform fill and bedrock interface;final grading and site cleanup after slurry wall construction. The excavation,if necessary,and compacted fill shall be completed to the lines and grades shown on the plans in accordance with the plans and specifications. The platform compacted fill shall be paid on an in-place per cubic yard basis. The site road shall be measured and paid on a per lineal foot basis. 3. Hauling and Placement of Supplemental Fines Furnish all equipment,labor,and materials required for the hauling and placement of supplemental fines along the proposed slurry wall alignment at the rate described in the plans. The hauling and placement of supplemental fines shall be paid on a per cubic yard basis. 4. Slurry Wall Construction Furnish all equipment,labor,and materials required for the construction of the slurry wall platform,soil-bentonite slurry wall and installation of final slurry wall cap in accordance with the plans and specifications. The slurry wall shall be measured and paid on a square foot basis. Square footage for lead-in trenches and overlaps for"scissor cuts"or closure of the slurry wall shall be considered incidental to the work and shall not be included in the measurement for payment.
