Dozers were operating in L pit, <br />building benches and regrading. Dozers were also operating in the ash pit. Overburden removal <br />is progressing east of the active pit. Deliveries of new power line poles were occurring. <br />Numerous areas near ponds showed signs of small mammal borrowing. No hydrologic or air <br />quality issues were observed. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS Rule 4.02 <br />o Topsoil stockpiles observed throughout the site were clearly marked with identifying signs. <br />o Permit boundary markers observed throughout the site were located for good visibility and <br />appeared in good repair. <br />o The mine site identification sign inside the entrance to the facilities from CO 13 South was <br />intact, displaying all required information: mine name, operator name, address, phone <br />number, DRMS permit number and contact information. <br />o Blasting notification signs were placed according to rule 4.02.6 <br /> <br /> <br /> Photo 1: Mine identification sign at entrance. <br /> <br /> Photo 2: Blasting Sign <br /> <br />Photos 1 and 2 respectively show the signs for mine <br />identification, and warning of blasting at the mine. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ROADS- Rule 4.03 <br />Construction 4.03.1(3) I 4.03.2(3); Drainage 4.03.1(4) I 4.03.2(4); Surfacing and <br />Maintenance 4.03.1(5) and (6) I 4.03.2(5) and (6); Reclamation 4.03.1(7) I 4.03.2(7) <br />o Main haul roads in and around the site appeared stable and adequately <br />maintained.
