22 March, 2017 C-1981-010/Trapper Mine RAR <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 11 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4 <br /> <br /> Page 3 of 11 <br /> <br />It is imperative that the problems in the drainage between Oak #1 and #2, identified in the March <br />2017 complete inspection, be repaired before the upcoming rain and snow season in anticipation <br />of fall rains and 2018 spring runoff. <br /> <br />Culvert Maintenance Comments <br /> <br />A9 <br />Sediment plug on inlet side. Badger hole on bank <br />@ outlet caused a sediment plug. Both inlet and <br />outlet sides require cleaning. <br />A10 Sloughing of slope at outfall <br />A12 Both inlet and outlet require cleaning. <br />SAH1 Sloughing of slope at outfall <br />ASH1 Sloughing of slope at outfall <br />A2 Needs cleaning on inlet side and channel on outlet <br />side requires deepening. <br />A4 Sediment deposition and, grasses growing at <br />outfall <br />A5 Culverts require cleaning <br />GRS1 Inlet and outlet need cleaning <br />GRS2 Sediment at outfall requires removal <br />SA4A <br />Update culvert size in permit renewal to 48". <br />Water exiting culvert through bottom causing <br />channel undercutting. <br />SA7 <br />Update culvert size in permit renewal to 36". <br />Culvert bottom is perforated at discharge end <br />about 8 feet in, requiring repair. <br />SA2 Water exiting culvert through bottom about 23 feet <br />back from discharge end, requiring repair. <br />SA1 <br />East culvert not draining due to grasses near <br />discharge site. Both culverts exhibited deposition <br />inside the culvert that requires removal. <br />AE7 Culvert more than half full of sediment. <br />EMF1 Runoff not flowing over armored channel causing <br />channel side cutting. Rock in channel is too large. <br />It is imperative that worn out culverts (SA4A, SA7 and SA2) identified in the March 2017 <br />complete inspection, be repaired before the upcoming rain and snow season in anticipation of fall <br />rains and 2018 spring runoff. <br /> <br />INSPECTION: <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br />Main haul roads were being watered and ash was being hauled to the ash pit. The excavator was <br />loading coal and 100 ton coal haul trucks were operating. One dragline was operating casting <br />spoil and dozers were pushing spoil in the active pit.
